Commissioner Tony Vero said he keeps track of the COVID-19 cases in the county on a spread sheet.RichlandSource.com reports the Richland County Commissioners criticized Governor Mike DeWine’s office for their lack of communication over the last year of the pandemic, saying they have not communicated with elected Richland County Officials.

Boards of commissioners for Richland and Crawford counties set the timeline to process a petition for the Black Fork Joint County Ditch Project during an organizational meeting Tuesday. Shelby Mayor Steven Schag and 42 members of the rural community filed a petition with the Richland County commissioners Feb. 24 seeking to clean and maintain about 18 miles of the Black Fork from 50 feet south of the Mickey Road bridge in Sharon Township through Shelby to the bridge on Ohio 13 near Ohio 96 in Franklin Township.

The commissioners saying they just want to get the thoughts of each department, as the numbers continue to decline across the state and county with the vaccine rollout underway.
