(Richmond)- Governor Northam has appointed a top health official to oversee the coronavirus vaccine rollout. Richmond-Henrico's Health Director Dr. Danny Avula will take on the role. Northam says facilities will lose their doses if they are not supplying them at an appropriate time frame. The governor expects the state to move into Group 1-B by the end of the month. Group 1-B includes seniors over the age of 75, essential workers, teachers, grocery store workers, and public transit workers.
