Developers are hoping to build 35 one and two-bedroom apartments in Runcorn as part of a £5million scheme. Bolton-based developer and contractor Challenger Building Services has resubmitted plans after initial proposals for a three storey apartment development with 32 or 33 apartments were given the green light in November. The revised planning application for Irwell Lane also includes 18 car parking spaces at the rear of the building together with landscaped residents’ gardens and an external cycle unit. The newly-designed proposals created by Falconer Chester Hall will provide a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments aimed at people over the age of 55 and was devised for social landlord Housing 21.
