The Pittsburgh Pirates showed plenty of resiliency Sunday evening, digging themselves out of an early hole en route to a 6-5 10-Inning Win over the Brewers.
After trailing 2-0, the Pirates got Homers from Colin Moran and Bryan Reynolds before Moran doubled in Reynolds in the 10th to seal the deal. Richard Rodriguez worked two scoreless innings for the Win. The Pirates are now 7-9 and return to action on Tuesday.

Colin Moran drove in the go-ahead run in Sunday’s rubber match to help the Pirates beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-5, in 10 innings. This is not only the Pirates second series win of the season, but it’s the first time they beat the Brewers in Milwaukee since 2018.
After the Brewers jumped out to a two-run lead in the first, Moran slugged a three-run home run to left to give the Bucs a 3-2 lead in the third. Milwaukee would climb back to tie the game in the bottom half, but Bryan Reynolds reclaimed the Pirates’ lead with a two-run home run in the seventh.

The Milwaukee Brewers got one home run from Avisail Garcia and two from Daniel Vogelbach, but it still was not enough to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates Sunday at American Family Field, 6-5.
Milwaukee starter Freddy Peralta (5 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 7 K, 3 BB) did not factor into the decision.
Pittsburgh’s Colin Moran hit an early three-run homer, then had an RBI double in the 10th inning off of losing pitcher J.P. Feyereisen to give the Pirates a lead they would not surrender.
With Jackie Bradley Jr. on second to start the bottom of the 10th, Pittsburgh reliever Richard Rodriguez retired both Vogelbach and Garcia on a pair of flyballs before striking out Travis Shaw to end it.
