Thinking It Through: What’s wrong with the secret ballot?

As the vote-counting machinations of several large Democrat-dominated cities have made crystal clear, the United States is possibly being “transformed” in yet another way. Whereas for over a century, most states and localities have relied upon a rational system of voter registration and secret balloting, 2020 threatens to institutionalize the “brave new world” of anonymous (aka mail-in) voting. The possibilities for abuse are palpable and massive.
I will admit that, like millions of other citizens, the dangers of separating voters from polling places were not as obvious to me as they were to some of my more discerning friends.
