TV-movie star Richard Yap welcome the idea but with caveat.
Note, Richard has been riding motorcycles even before he became a star via “My Binondo Girl.”
Among his rides is a Harley Davidson Sportster and an Indian Scout.
According to Richard, riding a motorcycle is fun but ultimately dangerous.
For those who want to take on the hobby, he suggested they enroll in a motorcycle driving course first.
“Kasi karamihan ng mga tao sa atin, ‘yung riders, they go from riding a bicycle directly to driving a motorcycle. Iba ang bisikleta, iba rin ang motor,” he shared via “Sarap, ‘Di Ba?”
Actor, singer, model, content creator, and businessman Richard Yap is now officially a Kapuso as he signed his management contract with GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) on December 16.
Present during the contract signing were GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable, GMAAC Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, GMAAC Senior Talent Manager Joy Marcelo, and Richard’s co-manager Kate Valenzuela.
The 53-year-old actor promises audiences that they can expect a lot from him in his new home.
Yap expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, “I’m actually quite overwhelmed as I never thought this would come about. Now that it’s finally here, I am just so happy and so thankful to become a part of the Kapuso family.”

Richard Yap is more than excited to join the Kapuso Network, particularly as it will allow him to finally work with several actresses he admires.
“To name my top 5, it would be Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heusaff, Rhian Ramos, Marian Rivera, Lovi Poe …I mean ang daming mahuhusay na leading ladies sa GMA,” he said.
The “Be Careful With My Heart” star also shared he is a huge fan of Michael V.
“Sa actors, si Michael V. I’ve been a long time fan ng ‘Bubble Gang. ”
According to Richard, there were offers from different networks but he eventually picked GMA-7 owing to to the possibility of him being able to work with some of the network’s finest.

In early 2019, there were blind items about Richard s plan to move to GMA-7 after the general elections last May 13, 2019. In June 2019, ABS-CBN s afternoon series Kadenang Ginto launched a teaser for its third season, which revealed Richard s participation in the show. For the new season of Kadenang Ginto, Richard said about the network-transfer rumor: Tsismis lang iyon. On July 11, 2020, Richard appeared as a guest in GMA-7 and TAPE, Inc. s noontime-variety show Eat Bulaga! via its segment Bawal Judgmental.

He is also set to top-bill an upcoming primetime series next year.
