Councillor in never ending bin battle

Row reignites over Amazon s halted Worcester move

THE row over Amazon s halted potential move to the city has been reignited after the online online retail giant s announcement of new jobs nationally. We previously reported during a full council meeting held last September that cabinet member Councillor Ken Pollock said Amazon had asked the council for permission to open at Worcester Six Business Park off the M5 motorway, only for it to be turned down. At the meeting county councillor Richard Udall said it was a “disgusting” decision to prevent hundreds if not thousands of potential jobs coming to the city. Amazon this week announced 1,000 new UK apprenticeships this year, with the roles paying around £10 a hour, amounting up to around £30,000 per year for degree-level apprenticeships.

Droitwich councillor Alan Humphries, said: Peter devoted his political life to Droitwich and the town meant everything to him. He was a mentor, but, more importantly, a friend. Lea & Perrins v Henderson s - Michael Rosen sparks saucy debate

AUTHOR Michael Rosen’s tweet about the lack of availability of Worcestershire Sauce unwittingly reignited an age-old debate – Lea & Perrins or Henderson’s Relish. Mr Rosen’s post on Twitter that “several shops” had “run out” flagged up a shortage of supply which parent company Kraft Heinz has confirmed is down the unavailability of bottles.   Worrying times . Several shops o went into today had run out of...Lea and Perrins sauce. What’s going on? Has Lea scarpered? Is Perrins on the run? @Underthecranes thinks the supply chain for the plastic cap has broken down. Has #Brexit struck Worcester sauce down?!
