SALEM Carl Russell Sebrell, age 89, of Salem, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Salem West Healthcare, Salem.
He was born on June 20, 1931 in Leetonia, OH, son of the late Walter and Beth Groner Sebrell.
Mr. Sebrell was a graduate from the class of ’49 from Leetonia High School. He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea, where he learned a machinist’s trade. He was a lifelong member of St. Jacobs United Church in Leetonia and a former member of the Mt. Nebo Grange. Mr. Sebrell belonged to and was treasurer for the 126 Tr-State VFW post 8168 chapter of Korean War Vets. Mr. Sebrell loved creating with his hands. the toy boxes, record cases, clocks, tractors, shelves and sporting yard sign of the Indians. He enjoyed listening to the Ohio State football games on the radio when he couldn’t watch them on TV.

The year 2019 was a busy one for Cass County, and 2020 looked like it would be the same, with the youngest mayor in Logansport history taking office and projects about to happen or already started.
But now that hindsight will be literally 2020 at midnight, few people will be sad to see the year end.
Cass County was impacted by both national and local events, and in May, the county was in the top 10 places in the United States affected by the coronavirus disease per capita.
SWEETWATER COUNTY Looking ahead to the year 2050 locally, community and government leaders expect road improvements, more renewable energy projects popping up in the county and an even bigger reliance on water.
Even though the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) would like to continue improving Interstate 80 and Flaming Gorge Way, the costs to do so will be pretty expensive.
Streets & Highways: Improvements Coming, But No Timetable
One thing that area residents should not expect by 2050 is Interstate 80 becoming a six-lane highway, three lanes in each direction, all the way from Pine Bluff to Evanston and everywhere in between, according to District 3 Wyoming Department of Transportation Public Relations Director Stephanie Harsha.
