Teen’s Alabama Christmas party shooting death a hate crime, family says

Nineteen-year-old Pugh was at a large Christmas party in Prichard on Dec. 13, when he was shot and killed near Rosedale Avenue and First Avenue. According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, two others were also injured in the shooting.
James Lee James, Jr., 33, was booked into the Mobile jail on Dec. 16, according to police. James is charged with one count of murder and one count of second degree assault.

1 dead, 2 injured in Prichard Christmas party shooting

One person is dead and two are injured following a shooting at a Christmas party in Prichard, according to Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
Multiple reports say officers were first on the scene at 5:28 a.m. today on reports of a shooting near Rosedale Avenue and First Avenue, WKRG reported.
Jaheim Oneal Pugh has been identified as the fatality. James Lee James Jr. has been identified as a person of interest. No arrests have been made.
