The Great Commission
The St. Paul Evangelization Society is a spiritual association of Catholic laity and clergy whose members are committed to the Great Commission delivered by Jesus:
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” (Mt 28:18-20)
Ralph C. Martin grew up on his family farm in Wallenstein, ON. His Ph.D. is in Plant Science from McGill University. In 2001, he founded the Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada (https://www.dal.ca/faculty/agriculture/oacc/en-home.html and in 2011, was appointed as Professor and Loblaw Chair in Sustainable Food Production at the University of Guelph. Ralph Martin, president of Renewal Ministries, director of graduate theology programs in evangelization and a professor of theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, has written an extraordinary book, “A Church in Crisis: Pathways Forward.” His analysis of this crisis, in a time of confusion and division, is comprehensive in scope, examining its ecclesial, doctrinal, and moral dimensions.
The book falls into two main parts: the first gives an in-depth analysis of these dimensions, and the second outlines pathways forward to attain “real and deep renewal in the Church.”
