We will strengthen our ability to fight the pandemic and respond to future biological threats, Biden said during a joint press conference with Moon. South Korea has vaccinated only 3% of its 52 million residents, but aims to reach herd immunity by November. Under the agreement, the U.S. will help Seoul reach that goal, including by providing vaccines for 550,000 members of the Korean military who work alongside U.S. forces in the region.
