The death of Kobe Bryant in a helicopter accident on Sunday, January 26, has rocked Los Angeles more than just about anything in recent memory. Coupled with the loss of his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others on board with him, the tragedy is heartbreaking. Everywhere around the city, on murals, on the MTA buses or jumbotrons, you see Kobe s picture along with goodbye sentiments and more, honoring the legend.

LANSING On Dec. 3, two bills were introduced in the House that, if passed, would revive a taxpayer-funded film income-tax credit for films produced bearing a “Filmed in Michigan logo.” The Center Square reported the bills on Dec. 8.
The bills, HBs 6504 and 6506, were introduced by Democrat Rep. Robert Wittenberg, 27th House District, which includes Berkley, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge and Royal Oak Township.

The film tells the story of a troupe of failing Broadway stars who look to drum up some publicity by spicing up the high school prom of a girl named Emma.

Tommy “Tiny” Lister died on Dec. 10 after being found unresponsive at his California home. His final interview was on Dec. 4 interview with
Brandon Jay. Lister wore a mask and struggled to speak and continuously cleared his throat.
“I’m taking that vaccine. I’m taking it,” Lister said. “I’ve got work to do especially for the kingdom of Jesus Christ.”
A voice in the background asked if it was best to wait for others to take the vaccine first before Lister tried it.
He responded, “Obama, Bush, and Clinton are taking it together to show everybody. So, that’s a wrap. Three presidents.”
