Glass was thrown at barman after he refused to serve drunken pair at The Belmont pub, in Belmont, Durham A MAN refused service at a pub responded by throwing a glass at the barman and threatening to drive into the front of the premises. Kieron Gradon and another man entered The Belmont, in Moor End Terrace, Belmont, Durham, with two women, at 9.30pm on August 31, 2019. Durham Crown Court heard that they approached the bar and one of them demanded, “the strongest shot”, but the assistant refused to serve them as they appeared, “obviously drunk”. Joe Hedworth, prosecuting, said they, “took exception” to this and the threat was uttered about driving into the front of the pub if they were not served.

AN EBAY memorabilia fraudster has met a judge’s six-month challenge to repay the customers he duped out of more than £60,000. Anthony McCabe sold 876 football, rugby and other sports shirts supposedly signed by stars of the games, between 2014 and 2018. Each came with a Certificate of Authenticity, to give an air of legitimacy to the product, purporting they were the shirts worn by the players claimed by McCabe. Durham Crown Court heard that in reality they were sports shirts McCabe collected over the years bearing signatures simply added by him in marker pen. The lucrative ‘sideline’ for the company national sales manager began to unravel, however, after a complaint, by an eBay user over the sale of memorabilia bearing fake autographs, was made to Durham County Council’s trading standards department, in February 2018.

Marcia Walker, a male-to-female transgender child rapist in one of Britain’s maximum-security prisons has been freed despite admitting to attacking guards after they took her razors, preventing Walker from shaving.
Walker, who was previously known as Mark Walker before claiming to be transgender, has legally been recognised as female by the British prison authorities, however, was incarcerated in HM Prison Frankland, a ‘Category A’ men’s prison in County Durham.
The Crown Court in Durham heard that Walker spat at the officers, declaring that “I have COVID,” according to
The Telegraph.
Walker claimed that by taking away the ability to shave, the guards had contributed to feelings of gender dysphoria, saying: “They cannot take my razors from me.”

Marcia Walker, formerly Mark Walker, who is now legally recognised as female, claimed to have Covid-19 and threatened to cough on an officer in a note shoved under the door of her cell at Frankland Prison, Durham, in April, last year. Durham Crown Court was told she also threatened to kill a custody manager.
