 The Linden City Council didn’t make any motions on a potential mobile food vehicle vending ordinance on Monday, May 10, but the council made suggestions and changes. They’re expected to discuss it more and vote on it at a later date.  On Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, the council enacted a moratorium on food trucks in the city. This lasted until April 29, and on Monday, April 26, the council extended the moratorium another 30 days to give them time to consider and adopt an ordinance. See the entire suggested ordinance online at lindenmi.us under the meeting packet for the Monday, May 10 meeting.  The ordinance would not apply to “mobile food vehicle vendors operating at community events approved by the City Council.” The council discussed making it clear in the language that property owners would be able to apply for a permit to allow food trucks downtown.
