Subhakumari S, an Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) worker from Chavara in Kollam, stepped in to make arrangements for a safe delivery. As Shahina Bilal turns one, Subha is as excited as her parents, Bilal and Saira, migrant labourers (called ‘guest labourers’ in Kerala) from Assam. With 486 houses under her purview Subha had her work cut out during the pandemic.

At Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Medical Education Director Ramla Beevi received the first vaccine shot at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. Beevi while speaking to IANS after receiving the vaccination shot and the mandatory half-an-hour observation time said, It s a great moment.
