As a poet, I love anagrams, because they re a fun way to play with language and meaning while also dealing with sounds, because anagrams use the same the letters. You may have even played around with anagrams on your own without realizing it.

What Is an Anagram?
An anagram is a word or phrase that a writer can form from using the same letters in another word or phrase by shuffling the order of the letters. For instance, the word sing can be rearranged as sign, and that s an anagram.

For today s prompt, write a disappointment poem. Everyone has experienced disappointment at one point in their life or another. Sometimes it s not getting the job you wanted, but it could also be not getting that last piece of chocolate cake. Just ask William Carlos Williams about what happened to those plums.

Back to the Wednesday Poetry Prompts! For our last WPP, we wrote a spring poem (a few days before spring officially started). Now we re charging toward summer!
For today s prompt, write an after poem. The poem could be after a long project (or poetry challenge). Or it could be after a long break (like going 6 weeks without WPPs). Maybe the poem is after lunch, after a breakup (or makeup), after a meeting, or after watching a play or movie.
