Widespread power outages Monday due to winter storms left at least one Dallas homeless shelter without electricity for hours and led to 130 people without permanent homes being bused from a hotel to the downtown convention center.

Just don’t expect to come back from a chachalaca hunt with an entertaining story for your buddies around the campfire, Perez added. “You didn’t take your dog, and it wasn’t a beautiful morning. The feds discovered 294 plastic-wrapped bricks of cocaine during a routine X-ray baggage inspection after a U.S. Virgin Islands charter flight landed at Opa-locka Executive Airport Tuesday night.
Total haul: 328 kilos. Number arrested so far: six.
âThe bricks were inside several duffle bags and suitcases belonging to the only passengers on the private plane,â according to a criminal complaint filed by Homeland Security Investigations.
