As a resident of Davis or Salt Lake County since age 7, I read local newspapers, watched TV news channels (ABC, CBS, NBC and university TV), learned about our politicians, and believed we had honorable men making concerted attempts to cooperate, compromise and collaborate with others to bring about and create laws, policies, etc. for all.
I remember names like James Hansen, Jim Matheson, K. Gunn McKay, Wayne Owens, Frank Moss, both Wallace and Robert Bennett, and Jake Garn.

Critics and allies of Dawn Johnson agree: Stop the harassment
State Rep. Dawn M. Johnson
Published: 12/22/2020 3:36:04 PM Critics and allies of Dawn Johnson, a school board member and newly elected state representative, are calling for a halt to the harassment, threats and social media thrashing that Johnson has received since she linked anti-Semitic material on the Daily Stormer, a neo-Nazi website, about a week ago.
Since Dec. 9, the incident has sparked a firestorm of outrage over the content of Johnson’s link, and widespread calls for her to resign from her elected roles at state and local levels. Vocal residents have questioned her lack of judgment and underlying attitudes that accessing the notoriously bigoted site may represent. Backlash has snowballed into threats and harassment from community members and from outside New Hampshire, and have even targeted Johnson’s employer.
