11:46 a.m. A caller from the Penn Valley School District reported a man making false statements about staff and making harassing phone calls. The man was contacted and advised to stop calling the school district.
11:57 a.m. A caller from Hoppy Hollow Road reported losing $500 in a Craigslist scam. It was a mix-up and the seller agreed to refund the money.
1:43 p.m. A caller from Chisum Trail reported men on a neighboring property cutting wood and burning piles. The caller was upset that her “urbanite” neighbor had hired a crew to clear all the trees, and was informed this was not a criminal matter.
Ulverston Town Council is launching a number of projects to help support the town as it gets ready for spring with the anticipation of the easing of lockdown restrictions later in the year. Local company Ulverclean have been engaged to steam clean all of Ulverston’s historic ginnels, including: Brazier Fells Yard, Lower Brook Street, Smith Courts, Buxton Mews, Queens Court and Bolton’s Place. A shop front improvement scheme is also set to be completed, while there will be subsidised parking in Buxton Place Car Park to boost motorists visiting the town. The town council is also spending £40,000 on refurbishing the Gill toilets.

Newark man jailed for nine years for role in Keyworth aggravated burglary caught on Police Interceptors video

Two men who carried out a horrifying aggravated burglary have been jailed for a combined total of 18 years, ten months.
Footage shows police responding to a distressing 999 call involving a woman who had been threatened to be tied up in her own home and was being robbed at knife-point.
In the Police Interceptors video, the woman can be heard begging for help before units from across Nottinghamshire Police respond to the scene in the Fairham Road area of Keyworth.
