Fellow Seabury junior Leela Waterford held a sign that read “Hate is a virus too.” “I think that just because of the physical distance we are from the Mainland it’s easy to believe we are separated from these kinds of issues, but we need to remind ourselves that racism does exist in Hawaii,” Waterford said. “It needs to be addressed just like it does on the Mainland.”
