Kolkata: West Bengal police registered a case over the alleged attack on chief minister Mamata Banerjee at Nandigram on March 10, as a political slugfest emerged over what exactly caused her injuries.
While the BJP has said photos of the Trinamool Congress chief with her leg bound in plaster in hospital is part of a “well-scripted drama” ahead of the assembly polls, the members of the TMC have expressed outrage at what they have alleged is an attack on Banerjee.
