FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Students were evacuated from dorms on the University of Arkansas campus Monday (Feb. 22) after a fire broke out at Reid Hall.
Several students were stuck in an elevator as firefighters put ladders on the roof of the building to see if anyone else was inside.
Fayetteville Fire Marshal Jeremy Ashley confirmed with 5NEWS it was an electrical fire. They first got a call about people stuck in an elevator, and when they arrived on the scene, crews found smoke coming from the electrical tunnels beneath Reid Hall and the Maple Hill dorms.

UPDATE 5PM: A man in his 60s was taken to hospital after a crash at Baree just before 3pm Monday.
Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics transported the man to Mount Morgan Hospital in a stable condition following a single-vehicle crash on Razorback Road and Calliungal Road at 2.52pm.
UPDATE 3.10PM: A man is being treated at the scene of a crash on Razorback Road.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed crews were at the scene of the single vehicle crash at Baree.
She said a man in his 60s, who was the only person in the vehicle, was suffering neck pain and being assessed by paramedics.
