LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to strictly enforce the lockdown to restrict the movement of people on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.
Action will be taken action against the violators of the lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus. The decision was taken during a meeting held at Civil Secretariat on Tuesday to review the situation of coronavirus in the province.
Provincial Law Minister Raja Basharat, Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, the Punjab chief secretary, additional chief secretary, additional chief secretary (Home), administrative secretaries of Health Department, Director General of Public Relations and senior civil and military officials attended the meeting.

The decision was taken at a high-level meeting at the Civil Secretariat in Lahore to review the situation of coronavirus in the province. Minister for Law Raja Basharat, Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid, the chief secretary, and senior civil and military officials attended the meeting.

COVID vaccination centres in Punjab to remain closed on the first and 2nd day of Eid-ul-Fitr, said provincial health minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Tuesday. The minister said all the vaccination centres across Punjab are currently operational and masses are being vaccinated against the pandemic. Dr Yasmin said after strict adherence to the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs), vaccination is 2nd most important step to take. Commenting on the oxygen issue in the province, the minister underlined the need of the plantation to deal with the environmental change and added that only in Lahore more than 1.1 million saplings have been planted in the last 2 and half years. Earlier, the Punjab government had decided to double staff at the vaccination centres established across the province in the wake of increasing COVID cases.
Raja Basharat for smooth supply of essential items during lockdown

LAHORE: Provincial Law Minister Raja Basharat has directed the authorities concerned to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential items during the lockdown, saying that the supply chain should not be affected in any way. He gave these directions while presiding over a meeting at Civil Secretariat here on Friday.
The Punjab chief secretary, secretaries of relevant departments, civil and military officials also attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed the situation caused by corona pandemic, provision of medical facilities in hospitals, and the steps to maintain uninterrupted supply of essential items during the lockdown.
