A 13-year-old girl has filed a
police complaint against her mother who allegedly gagged her, tied up her limbs, and assaulted her in front of her 9-year-old sister for questioning her mother for having an illicit relationship with a man who frequented their house in Kenchanahalli, in
Rajarajeshwar Nagar.
Kavyashree, her boyfriend Ravi and a few of her family members under sections of the
Juvenile Justice Act and under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (
IPC) for wrongful confinement of the girls.
Priya, (13), and Riya, (9), (names changed), on April 9, called up their father who had stopped staying with them over the past six months due to their mother’s ill-treatment, and told him that if he does not take them along with him, they would end their lives by heading to a railway gate near their house.

BBMP) has floated tenders for the construction of a two-lane bridge over the storm water drain near the
