There is a small dip in the number of COVID-19 positive cases with 6,026 on May 5 when compared to 6,361 cases detected the previous day with the number of tests conducted showing a rise at 79,824 as against the 77,435 tests conducted the day before.

Light to heavy rains accompanied with thunder and lightning has been forecast across Telangana for the next few days due to a combination of cyclonic circulation and trough, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday.
Cloudy sky with chances of thunder showers towards evening has been forecast for the twin cities. Temperatures recorded have been 37.6 degree C during the day and 25.6 degree C during the nights.
Maximum temperature is likely to come down to 36 degree C and no major change is expected in the minimum temperature.
Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) has also forecast light/moderate scattered rain/thunder for next three days. Rajanna Sircilla: An employee at the Vemulawada Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple was accused of falsifying sales figures to steal money by selling laddus. As per sources, the sales department employee misappropriated about Rs 40 lakh (2 lakh laddus).
According to a temple source, the employee misled the authorities by sending incorrect laddu sales figures, resulting in the selling of two lakh laddus worth Rs 40 lakh. He is accused of using the funds for personal reasons.
Officials from the prasadam manufacturing wing double-checked the data and discovered anomalies in the selling of prasadam, which led them to suspect his involvement.

Hyderabad:The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, on Tuesday issued a thunderstorm warning for several districts till April 30.
According to the IMD bulletin, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places across the state.
Meteorologists have predicted that due to rising humidity, rainfall activity will start from the western parts of the state and thus move towards the central, southern and eastern parts of Telangana. No rain is expected in northern districts like Adilabad, Nirmal, Komaram Bheem, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla.
