LNU Fire zone residents face evacuation as winter storm approaches
The cause: Heavy rains that could cause mudslides in the burn zone stripped of its vegetation.
The Solano County Office of Emergency Services issued an evacuation warning shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday for all residents in the Hennessey Fire burn area.
LAFCO OKs out-of-district sewer service to Middle Green Valley project

FAIRFIELD Solano County LAFCO commissioners unanimously approved an application Monday that will allow the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District to provide wastewater service to the Middle Green Valley Specific Plan area.
The matter had been continued from last week when technical difficulties did not allow members of the public to call into the meeting with comments.
Rich Seithel, the executive officer for the Solano Local Agency Formation Commission, said there were no comments from the public Monday.
The commission also approved the annexation of 5 acres at 3928 Sierra Vista Drive into the Rural North Vacaville Water District for water service.
CAR-ANIMAL ACCIDENTS
Victor McDow Jr., 49, of Paola, was driving a 2019 Ford pickup north in the 25100 block of Old KC Road at 8 a.m. Oct. 28 when it struck a deer. McDow was not injured.
Sara Rhynerson, 38, of La Cygne, was driving a 2015 Buick south on Jingo road near West 399th Street at 8:35 a.m. Oct. 28 when it struck a deer. Rhynerson was not injured.
Scott Gregory, 47, of Amsterdam, Mo., was driving a 2019 Kia west on Kansas Highway 68 near New Lancaster Road at 5:20 a.m. Nov. 2 when the vehicle struck a deer. Gregory was not injured.
Erick Pennington, 41, of Blue Mound, was driving a 2007 Ford south on Plum Creek Road near West 383rd Street at 11:40 p.m. Nov. 2 when the vehicle struck a deer. Pennington was not injured.
One Person Killed in Tuesday Morning Crash on Rockville Road
INDIANAPOLIS One person is dead after a crash Tuesday morning on the west side of Indianapolis.
One car was driving on Rockville Road, just west of I-465 near High School Road, when it left the road, crashed into a couple of trees, and landed on its side.
“The accident occurred just sometime before 9 o’clock,” Courtney Rice, Public Information Officer for the Wayne Township Fire Department, said. “It appeared to have been largely unnoticed by anyone in the area.”
Rice says a truck driver eventually noticed the car and called 911.
