As the cab from the airport inched forward in nose to tail traffic towards the distinctive skyline in the distance, I already knew I was going to be charmed by Toronto. While beaches and mountains are all very well, I’m a city girl at heart and the lure of late night shopping, museums and a decent wine list means I’m always on the hunt for my next city fix.

Little folks, look at the windows to spot special stories just for you during walks downtown with your grown-ups.
It’s called Stroll-a-Story and you can read them with your parents or grandparents or older brothers and sisters. Or the kiddos can read on their own while the taller folks do some window shopping.
The Pikes Peak Library District project promises fun stories in the windows and at Penrose Library.
Little readers can share with the library which stories they liked by posting on Facebook @PPLDKids.

A newly-opened Jamaican restaurant is asking Sarnians to spice up their lives by sampling Caribbean dishes such as Jamaican jerk chicken and a variety of savoury seafood.
The Reggae Café opened at 1200 Lambton Mall Rd. last November, but has been operating for only a few weeks because of the current province-wide lockdown.

Decorated with a colourful and tropical-themed interior, the restaurant is offering curbside pickup and delivery service only. But owner Stuart Brown is looking forward to the day when Sarnians can stop in, say hi and try some of his original Jamaican cuisine in person.
