Tower construction at Solar Park nears 90 per cent completion

Dubai Media Office A team from DEWA have inspected progress at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest concentrated solar power project in the world. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has inspected progress on the 950 megawatt fourth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project globally.  Upon completion, the project will have the largest thermal storage capacity in the world of 15 hours, allowing for energy availability round the clock. The fourth phase will provide clean energy for around 320,000 homes and reduce 1.6 million tonnes of carbon emissions every year.

Dewa seals water purchase deal with Utico for $410m SWRO project DUBAI, 3 days ago Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has signed a 35-year water purchase agreement (WPA) and the shareholders agreement (SHA) for the Hassyan Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) plant, with Emirati company Utico.    The 120 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD) project will be built using the Independent Water Producer (IWP) model. It is expected to be completed by March 2024 at a total cost of $410 million.   The agreements were signed by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dewa, and Ivan Richard Menezes, the managing director of Utico in the presence of the group s Chairman Rashed Mehran Al Blooshi and other senior officials.
