UFC News: Dana White Shoots on Rampage, Florian-Guida, UFC 102

by Aug 28, 2009, 9:56 pm Speaking to the press ahead of UFC 102: Couture vs. Nogueira, UFC President Dana White shot on Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the wake of reports that he will star as B.A. Baracus in the upcoming “The A-Team” film. “I hate it with a [censored] passion,” said White of fighters who show interest in movie roles. “You’re a fighter; you’re not a movie star. It’s so [censored] funny because fighters want to be movie stars, and movie stars want to act like they’re fighters. Get a [censored] grip. You’re a fighter, and you’re a [censored] movie star. Alright?”

2021 PFL Light Heavyweight Chris Camozzi: New Beginnings

2021 PFL Light Heavyweight Chris Camozzi: New Beginnings It’s never too late for a fresh start. UFC veteran Chris Camozzi spent a chunk of 2020 outside of a formal training environment. It was a step or step back, to be more accurate that he needed in order to get going in the right direction. Camozzi’s storied career now spans a decade and a half. He made his pro debut when he was 19 years old and went 12-3 through his first 15 outings. He eventually made it onto The Ultimate Fighter in the show’s 11th season. He was only 23 years old at the time, and while he won his fight to get into the house, an injury prevented any further advancement. Camozzi didn’t get to go through the TUF season, but a win on the show’s finale event was enough to secure a UFC roster spot.

Torture and murder: Masvidal’s #FreeAlexisVila UFC 261 shirt explained Share this story Photo by Josh Hedges/Zuffa LLC In June 2011 Camilo Salazar was driven into a remote stretch of the Florida Everglades, his hands bound behind his back with a belt. After his kidnapper reached his desired location, Salazar was lead from the car and forced to kneel. Salazar was then brutally beaten, likely with a golf club, causing his skull and jaw to fracture. Then his throat was slit, not enough to kill him, as evidenced by the blood found in his lungs. After Salazar rolled onto his back, he was doused in gasoline. He was then set on fire, with the first sparks of flame being set around his genitals. It’s not known if Salazar was alive or dead when he was burned.

UFC 261 card: Anthony Smith vs Jimmy Crute full fight preview

UFC 261 card: Anthony Smith vs Jimmy Crute full fight preview Share this story Photo by Josh Hedges/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight finishers Anthony Smith and Jimmy Crute will go to war this weekend (Sat., April 24, 2021) at UFC 261 inside Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The 2020 fight season started off really, really poorly for “Lionheart.” His first match saw his teeth knocked out en route to a stoppage loss, and then Aleksandar Rakic pretty much manhandled him in his attempted rebound fight. Fortunately, Smith was able to recover in a step back in competition opposite Devin Clark, so hope is not yet lost. Meanwhile, Crute is one of Light Heavyweight’s most impressive prospects. The 25-year-old Australian is 4-1 inside the Octagon, and he’s finished each of his victories, earning a ranking in the process.
