A dramatic number of anti-Semitic incidents and threats took place in the past week paralleling and following Palestinian protests leading to significantly increased police presence in many areas of the city.The threats came during and following anti-Israel protests and riots led by Palestinian supporters some of which included incidences of violence against individuals and property.
Quebec Anti-Racism Minister Benoit Charette wrote,âIn no way can we tolerate that a foreign conflict takes root or finds an echo here in Quebec,â he wrote. âStill less can we tolerate that it leaves room for anti-Semitism. We can in Quebec express ourselves freely on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but at no time will violence, intimidation and hateful or racist remarks be tolerated.â

Analysis finds it appears to rely on fake, dubious or biased sources
A report recently published by United States and Canadian think tanks that accuses China of committing genocide in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region is void of any evidence and has an obvious political agenda. Such a groundless accusation is not in line with international law and is an insult to Xinjiang people, foreign and domestic scholars said.

Canadian Officials Voice Support in Celebration of Falun Dafa Day
Over 120 Canadian officials from across the country sent anniversary greetings in support of Falun Dafa on May 13, commending the faith group’s peaceful resistance against persecution in communist China since 1999, as adherents held an online event to celebrate 29 years since Falun Dafa’s introduction to the public.
Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a traditional Chinese self-improvement discipline that consists of five meditative exercises along with moral teachings centred on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. The practice was first introduced to the public on May 13, 1992, by founder Li Hongzhi in China. It attracted between 70 million and 100 million adherents within just a few years as a result of its benefits to people’s health and well-being.
