He has tried his hands on every genre right from romance, comedy and even gritty dramas. The actor recently revealed that he wanted to be a part of Kapoor & Sons and even called up the director Shakun Batra for a role. Arjun Kapoor was answering queries from his fans online on a session moderated by Janice Sequeria and Aniruddha Guha on The Bollywood Film Club s In The Club on Clubhouse and made an intriguing confession. Kapoor & Sons starred Fawad Khan as a gay author. The role was rejected by at least six big stars and at one point Karan Johar even thought of shelving the film if he didn’t find the right actor for it. Arjun Kapoor who knew about this problem decided to call up the director and reach out to him saying he had no qualms in playing the role.

He died at 98, after prolonged illness, his family and doctors treating him said. Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, who was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai for the treatment of pneumonia, was discharged last week. Recalling his time being treated at the same hospital as late actor Dilip Kumar, Shah told Said Mahmood for Link Legalâs Beyond Law, â(Saira) put her hand on my head and blessed me and said â Sahab was asking about you. I was deeply moved. I wanted to meet him before I left. But unfortunately, the day I left, he also left.â

The 70-year-old actor was admitted to the Khar-based P D Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre, a non-COVID-19 facility, last Tuesday. Back home, Vivaan Shah captioned the picture of his father and mother, actor Ratna Pathak Shah on his Instagram Story. He just got discharged today morning, he wrote in the next Story.
