[Image: Fijian Government] The re-branded Nasese Private Hospital at Ratu Sukuna Road will be the only hospital in Fiji which will provide hip and knee replacement surgeries. Knee or hip surgery will cost around $18,000. The hospital which was known as the Nasese Medical Centre underwent a $6 million refurbishment, contains 42 beds and employs more than 40 staff. Dr Vigilio De Asa who is the head of the hospital says they have got all the necessary equipment to perform hip and knee replacement surgeries and have already done a few surgeries.

The Fiji Roads Authority has indicated that works will be carried out on 24 hours/7day basis as part of the QED Upgrade Project. The project will include site clearance, property accommodation, drainage upgradation, pavement works and utility relocation works.
