PATNA: Bihar CM and senior JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar on Thursday spoke in support of the three contentious farm laws, saying ‘whatever legislations have been framed it all in the interest of the farmers.’ Talking to media persons after meeting the PM Narendra Modi at the Parliament House in Delhi, Nitish also said that the Union government had been holding talks with the farmers on certain issues in the three farm bills, and hoped that the issues between the Centre and the agitating farmers would be resolved in a day or two. On being asked whether he had a discussion with the PM on the issue of agitating farmers, Nitish said there was no need of talking (with the PM) on the three farm bills.
