The village of Abbots Ripton is a small community, which hold a primary school, a church, and a village hall.
For one weekend of every year, the tiny village of Abbots Ripton hosted the Secret Garden Party music festival in the grounds of Abbots Ripton Hall, but the event no longer takes place in the village.
During the pandemic, villagers have stuck together and supported each other.

AUCKLAND, New Zealand New Zealand has enshrined into law a one-year experiment allowing drug users to have illegal substances tested without penalty to ensure their authenticity and to weed out dangerous chemicals.
The traditional annual event has been postponed this year until July 30.
“But we didn’t want to wait that long to celebrate spring in our area,” said Alison Baringer English, executive director of the festival. “That’s a big part of what the Azalea Festival is about.”
So instead, the Hamerskis and dozens of garden party enthusiasts signed up to host their own smaller gatherings and get dressed in their finest party wear and enjoy the local natural beauty.
That’s what the couple did. They haven’t spent much time entertaining this past year, but Carter did pick up gardening as a pandemic hobby so she was showing guests some of her handiwork and a new garden shed built with the help of her father.
Three-day event with camping. and a stage you can swim to
Dara O’Brian, Sean Lock and Al Murray are to headline a three-day open-air comedy festival, with punters camping on site.
The Cambridge Comedy Festival, which will actually be staged in a field 20 miles from the city, is one of the most ambitious events of its type to feature only comedy.
Nina Conti, Milton Jones, Mark Watson, Seann Walsh and Rosie Jones are also among the more than 150 acts appearing from July 9 to 11.
Comedy will run across four stages on Friday night, and Saturday and Sunday from lunchtime until late at night. As well as stand-up, there will be kids’ sessions, podcast recordings, and even he very first live version of Radio 4’s topical soundscape show The Skewer.
