MANHATTAN Latin is everywhere. It might be in a joke by Icelandic comedian Ari Eldjárn in “Pardon My Icelandic” his Netflix special released on Dec. 2 or in the epic series “Barbarians” (Netflix) and “Romulus” (Sky Italy) both filmed in Latin which premiered late last year.
In recent months, we might have consumed the highest doses of mainstream Latin in ages. And when anyone hears a simple note of this melodious language, it immediately prompts Gregorian chants’ images and the old rite Mass.
Latin and Catholicism are intrinsically intertwined with the foundation of our Western Culture. They are in our roots and core, practicalities, and imagination. Latin is considered a dead language but still accounts for almost 30% of the modern English language. Sia Enlists Burna Boy For Hey Boy Remix From Upcoming Album Music Thursday, 14 January 2021
Sia has teamed up with Burna Boy for a new version of Hey Boy.
The bouncy pop remix along with the original song will appear on the Australian vocalist s upcoming eighth studio album Music , due out on February 12, which was written to accompany her directorial debut of the same name.
Hey Boy first landed in November 2020, following former cuts Together, Courage To Change and Saved My Life, which was co-penned with Dua Lipa. The revamp comes with an animated video created by Rafatoon (Rafael Perez), viewable below next to the tracklist.
Webb Co. auditor reappointed for two-year term

The Webb County Board of Judges voted last week to reappoint Rafael Perez as county auditor for another two-year term.
Perez has served as county auditor since March 2018 and has worked at the Webb County Auditor’s Office for more than 30 years.
The county auditor serves as a check on the county’s financial operations, audits records and accounts for the county and provides monthly reports to the Commissioners Court on various departments’ revenues and expenditures.
Highland Avenue in National City has been a major hub for cruisers since the 1970s.
On December 12, Charger Steve jumped into his lifted Toyota, flipped on the under-chassis neon lights, and drove to meet his buddies at D’s Ribs & Wings, a block west of Highway 67 in Santee to grab a bite. “We’ve been visiting areas with our vehicles to bring some much-needed foot traffic and a huge morale booster.
