Twenty-one persons have been killed and forty kidnapped in renewed bandits attack on Shiroro communities in Niger State.
The attacks happened early Tuesday morning when about three hundred gunmen on motorcycles stormed Kurege, Sabon Gida, Sararai and Rafin Kanya shooting sporadically.
An eye witness who is also an indigene of Shiroro Local Government, Galadima Salisu while confirming the incident told newsmen in a telephone interview that unless governments at all levels come to their aid, he is afraid that the area could be taken over by bandits who operate at will.
All efforts to contact the Police Public Relations Officer, Niger State Command, ASP Wasiu Abiodun, for comment on the attack failed.

Tragedy struck in Niger State in the early hours of Tuesday, as no fewer than 21 persons were killed and about 40 others kidnapped in a renewed armed bandits attack on Shiroro communities in Shiroro Local Government Area of the state.
Tribune Online gathered that the attack allegedly occurred when about over 250 to 300 gunmen on motorcycles stormed four villages of Kurege Sabon Gida, Sararai and Rafin Kanya, shooting sporadically, killing some persons and abducted many others.
An eye witness who is also an indigene of Shiroro local government council, Malam Galadima Salisu, informed our reporter in an interview by telephone in Minna that unless governments at all levels come to the aid of the troubled communities, the citizens were entertaining fears that the affected communities and its environs could be taken over by unruly armed bandits who operated at will.
