Take a break from the political world to enjoy some musical art. Bill McClintock has created some masterpieces on YouTube. Mashing Ozzy Osbourne s, Flying High Again, with Donna Summer s, Hot Stuff, to create, Flying Hot Stuff, was genius, but this might be his best so far.
Take Metallica s 1991 hit, Enter Sandman, and fuse it with Huey Lewis and the News 1986 pop song, Hip To Be Square, to create, Hip To Be The Sandman. And by God, it works! Bill even gave the band a new name, James Hetfield & the News.
I don t think we ll ever see Metallica perform this live after, Master of Puppets, but after 2020, anything is possible.Enjoy!

James Hetfield/Huey Lewis Mashup Creator, Teacher, Spends Quarantine Making Music Mashups
Surely by now you ve seen the video circling the internet, of a mashup of Metallica s Enter Sandman mashed up with Huey Lewis and The News Hip to Be Square.
It s weird how it fits too perfectly, and there s even a little Godsmack guitar solo in there.
We looked into the creator,
Bill McClintock, who s a middle school music teacher. He majored in Music Technology and Music Education at Duquesne University.
When it comes to creating the videos, he says it can take weeks to find a good matchup to mashup, but once he does it takes around 5-10 hours just to mix the audio. The mashing of the videos take 2-3 hours at a time.
