Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation lauds Pakistan army’s support for polio eradication in Pakistan - RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chair of the Polio Oversight Board of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative and the President Global Development Programme at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) Mr. Christopher Elias held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi on Thursday. During the meeting, matters related to Pakistan’s commitment for comprehensive Polio eradication were discussed. The COAS acknowledged the services rendered by the Polio Health Workers for polio eradication in Pakistan and said that it was a national cause and a national effort.
