A Shannon GP says she has seen a significant increase in people in this county presenting with possible COVID-19 symptoms over the past seven days.
This county’s incidence rate per 100,000 people is currently the lowest in the country, though public health experts are anticipating a rise in cases across the country as restrictions continue to be lifted for Christmas and the New Year.
From tomorrow, up to three households can mix and people here can travel outside of Clare for the first time since October.

Search By Live95 News Team via Getty Images A local health practitioner says people can trust in their GPs to make the best recommendations on a Covid-19 vaccine when more information becomes available.
Ireland will start rolling out a limited number of the Pfizer vaccine in January for vulnerable people, while a more widespread rollout of the jab isn’t expected until summer time of 2021.
People have already been expressing some concerns surrounding the safety of the available vaccines during doctors visits.
However Dr Yvonne Williams, who is a GP at Shannon Medical Centre, says there is a long standing trust between GPs and their patients.
