A grey colored sub-adult male wolf belonging to the Bow Valley pack was struck and killed by a train on the CP Rail line in the Vermillion Lakes area of Banff National Park at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Feb. 11.
Parks Canada confirmed the wolf was struck on a straight portion of track, and said blind corners did not play a role in the mortality.
