Sask RCMP Release Additional Details on What Crimes Can Be Reported on New Online Tool

By Ryan Young Feb 23, 2021 10:48 PM The Saskatchewan RCMP did a soft launch of an online tool dedicated to report crime on Monday. The following crimes can be reported online: • Damage/mischief to property under $5,000 • Theft of bicycle under $5,000 • Theft under $5,000 • Lost property • No witnesses or suspects • Vandalized property that will cost less than $5,000 to repair • No items involving personal identity, firearms, license plates or decals The Saskatchewan RCMP say crimes from six months ago can also be reported. For now, it’s only available for people in the City of Yorkton, but there are plans to expand it to rural areas of Saskatchewan by March 15th, according to Jennifer Smith, the Acting Staff Sergeant of the Yorkton RCMP Detachment.

Man Facing Second Degree Murder Charge in Gilbert Plains Homicide Case Was Back in Court

By Ryan Young Feb 23, 2021 6:31 PM A man charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with a death in Gilbert Plains, has appeared in court again. 40-year-old David Genaille was in Dauphin yesterday (Mon), where he was remanded in custody to March 22nd. The investigation began In May of 2019, when Mounties were called to a home in Gilbert Plains on a report of a stabbing. They found a wounded 36-year-old man, who succumbed to his injuries on scene.
