By Benny Walchuk   When you’ve tuning in the Tim Hortons’ Brier this week, I’m sure you’ve been hearing the Wadena Re/Max Curling club being attached to Matt Dunstone and his Saskatchewan rink. That’s because the foursome was in the Saskatchewan town for two weeks to prepare for the National championship. Icemaker Scott Comfort says that came to fruition after a conversation between the team and one of their board members. “Dustin Mikush, one of your board members’ and curler in his own right kinda had conversation with Matt Dunstone and said we could fine-tune our ice and get it to as close of Brier ice as we can and it kind of went from there.”

Two Regina Residents Appear in Yorkton Court on Charges Stemming From Incident Last Week

By Ryan Young Mar 9, 2021 6:30 PM A man and woman from Regina face charges after an incident last Friday where Yorkton RCMP say a vehicle being driven erratically on highway 52 ended up in a ditch, and 2 homes in the city were entered. Police were called by a homeowner who saw 2 people peeking out a window at a neighbours place. By the time officers arrived, the suspects fled into a 2nd home, where they were arrested and taken to hospital for treatment of injuries believed to have been sustained from the accident. Drew Cyr and Victoria Isaac made their first court appearances yesterday (Mon) and both are remanded for March 17th in Yorkton Provincial Court.
