Bucky Bison was a nightmare.
Bucky was the costumed mascot for Buffalo (Texas) Junior High when I went to school there in the early 1980s, and we re not talking about some stuffed animal come to life.
The costume comprised a purple and gold football jersey with his name on the back number 00, naturally and the head. Good God, the head!
It was a homemade paper-mache affair, a lumpy sphere with a snout and short horns protruding, painted brown, black and white.
