Turgeon Raine recently vacated its old location on Fifth Avenue near Union Street, which is bound for redevelopment as a hotel by Masterworks Development. The jeweler has landed a block south at a new 7,000-square-foot corner location in the historic Skinner Building, at 1300 Fifth, owner Unico Properties recently announced. That corner space, at University Street, was vacated by Gucci. It s part of the over 10-acre Metropolitan Tract, which is ground leased from the University of Washington, and mostly managed by Unico. Target will shrink downtown Portland store

Downtown Portland Target store will shrink its footprint Updated 3:11 PM; Facebook Share Target will vacate two of the three floors it currently occupies in downtown Portland’s Galleria building. The Minneapolis big-box retail giant currently occupies an 89,000-square-foot space in the historic building, but will abandon the top two floors of its retail space and begin operating solely as a ground floor storefront this month, according to building owner Unico Properties. Target had occupied nearly 50% of the building. The five-story Galleria will now have four floors of office space above a ground-floor retail level. “We’ve reimagined hundreds of stores over the past several years,” Target spokesperson Aryn Ridge said in an email. “Our Portland Galleria store is undergoing a remodel that will update the store experience to make shopping even easier, safer and more inspiring for our guests.
