WHAT happens when you put together a gang of misfits and have them scavenge for space junk? The first space opera of South Korea, thatâs what.
Space Sweepers, which drops on February 5 on Netflix, tells the story of said misfits who stumble upon a robot disguised as a little girl who they initially decide to kidnap to get a big ransom but the little girlâs secrets leads them to save the world instead. The film is set in the year 2092.
Written and directed by Jo Sung-hee, the film was conceived in 2009 after he heard stories about space junk and space sweepers from a friend.

During a virtual press conference with Netflix on Tuesday, South Korean actress Kim Tae-ri revealed that the green screen posed a challenge for them. She said that a most of the time, they had to use their imagination. Once you lose touch with that imagination, it s easy to forget what you re doing. So we would constantly ask and discuss the scenes and the director s vision and continue to do image training, looking at the green background but continuing to imagine what we would be seeing as the characters, she said.

By chance, he knocks on the door of a porn movie producer and is recruited as a sex superhero. Hyun Bin thanked his girlfriend Son Ye-jin after winning the grand prize at the 2020 APAN Star Awards for his role as a North Korean elite soldier in tvN s Crash Landing on You. The two became a real-life couple after acting together in the hit drama.
While giving his acceptance speech for the grand prize, Hyun told the audience, I m happy to be starting off 2021 with such a big award. I feel like I should work even harder this year to repay this honor. I will continue to work hard so I can show a more improved side of myself.
