The bloc s internal relations soured over the weekend as member states split over the vaccine rollout. On Friday, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said that vaccine doses were not being spread evenly among member states despite an agreement within the bloc to do so according to population. The EU s vaccine row continues to erupt, as the bloc s slow roll-out of the jab remains a cause of concern among member states. But despite EU countries lagging behind Israel, the UK and the US, several nations have suspended use of the Anglo-Swedish Covid jab, over safety concerns. Denmark, Ireland and the Netherlands have halted the roll-out of AstraZeneca s jab, after serious side effects were repeated. Norway has also halted use of the vaccine while this afternoon Germany became the latest to stop the rollout.
EU Commissioner Frans Timmermans has been savagely mocked by Italian MEP Marco Zanni after he admitted the bloc has made mistakes in the procurement of Covid vaccines.
Mr Tertsch told Express.co.uk: “The lefties in the EU are in a hurry because they know Europe is changing. If you see the attitude of the Dutch, Austrians and Finnish, they are slowly but surely adopting a position inside the European Union that is very similar to the position the UK has had in the last 10 years before they quit.
“If things don t change, if the majority doesn t get a little bit of sense for the real feelings of the people in Europe, I think we will have more exits and not very far in time.
“We will have more exits and everybody will have to reconsider.
