The beer is almost here.
On an overcast Tuesday morning, representatives from Pennsylvania’s D.G. Yuengling & Son brewery hand-delivered the family’s secret recipes and proprietary yeast strain, signaling that the Molson Coors facility in Fort Worth can now begin to brew Yuengling’s famous lager.
Jen Yuengling, vice president of operations and the oldest of four sixth-generation Yuengling sisters, will oversee the beginning of the brewing process before heading back to the family headquarters in Pottsville, Penn.
Oh. My. Tortilla.
Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, I went on a search for the perfect taco, because why not?
There isn t much that won t taste yummy inside a warm tortilla. Brisket: Sign me up. Fish: Heck yeah. Short rib: Sure. Chicken: Even better.
Here s what I found on my taco tour through the Poconos.
The local fave
Ask anyone where to find the tastiest and most innovative tacos, and they ll most likely direct you to Zack s Taco Shack.
Having tried their shrimp variety for the first time last spring, I decided to expand my palette and get something new.

Drinking beer in a way that supports veterans and vets organizations? That’s something we can get behind!
D.G. Yuengling & Son, America’s oldest brewery, has come up with another way to support the nation’s veterans as part of its Stars & Stripes program. The brewer unveiled a new look for the 12- and 24-ounce cans that hold the brewery’s flagship beer, Yuengling Lager, on Tuesday.
The limited-edition cans feature a desert camouflage print and the logo of Team Red, White & Blue, a nonprofit organization that aims to connect veterans to their community through physical and social activity. Included on the can is a code through which beer drinkers can contribute to Team Red, White, and Blue (Team RWB) and help veterans.

Everybody knows Americans love beer. It’s ubiquitous in everything from day-to-day life to pop culture, where you’d be hard-pressed to find a show or movie that doesn’t depict a rugged main character ending the workday with a slug of an ice-cold brew. But which beer is America’s favorite?
While you may expect this to be a polarizing and impossible-to-answer query, it turns out that may not be the case.
The international market and data analytics website YouGov tackled this very question by aggregating the likeability ratings on a list of popular beers. Each rating was calculated using the amount of nationally surveyed individuals who noted their feelings toward the particular beer as “positive.” These ratings were then placed in comparison with the others on the list to come up with a final ranking.
