Coronavirus ONE week has now passed since the last death related to Covid-19 was recorded at hospitals in the York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The latest data from NHS England shows that the total number of Covid deaths at York trust hospitals remains at 591, which it reached on April 21. The trust includes York Hospital and Scarborough. There have been two more deaths in the North East and Yorkshire region. Across England, a further 20 people who have tested positive for coronavirus have died, taking the total at hospitals in England to 86,918. The dates of death range from January 15 to April 27.

The UK s first vaccine passport has been launched by an independent healthcare management app.
The vaccine certification technology for iOS users displays whether a patient is sufficiently protected from Covid-19 12 days following the second vaccine dose.
A version for Android users is expected to launch over the coming weeks.
It comes after prime minister Boris Johnson announced a new anti-viral taskforce at the latest press conference.
The new team has been tasked with supercharging the UK s search for anti-viral medications which could be used to treat Covid-19 at home.
