No-trust motion against Balochistan CM on the cards

Quetta: Differences between the factions, led by Balochistan Assembly (BA) Speaker Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo and Chief Minister Jam Kamal, have intensified as the disgruntled ministers have convened a meeting this week to discuss the situation following the resignations of some of the ministers. The Bizenjo group is trying to reach the opposition to win their support to topple the government of Chief Minister Jam Kamal. A committee would also be constituted at the meeting to reach out to opposition parties so that the no-confidence motion could become a success.
The Bizenjo group will decide on how to table a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Jam Kamal in the assembly. According to the TV channel reports, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Parliamentary Leader in the provincial assembly Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Saleh Bhotani, other disgruntled ministers and MPAs will attend the meeting.

QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly on Friday set up a special technical committee to find out details of petroleum exploration blocks awarded to state-run oil and gas companies without taking the province into confidence.
Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) lawmaker Sana Baloch, while speaking on a call-attention notice in the provincial assembly on Friday, pointed out that the federal government had allocated six blocks to the companies for exploration of mineral resources in the provinces, including Balochistan, without taking the provinces into confidence, which was a violation of the Constitution.

KASUR: Several people were deprived of cash and other valuables on Wednesday.
Five bandits barged into the house of Afzal near Chiriwan village, Mustafaabad and took away five toal gold jewellery, Rs 50,000 and other valuables. Six gunmen entered the house of Amina Bibi near Raja Jang and took away 15 tola gold jewellery, Rs 35,000 and other valuables. Four robbers snatched Rs 65,000, a mobile phone and other valuables from Shaukat Ali near Nooh Fateh Dhaba in Phoolnagar City.
MOTORCYCLIST DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT: A motorcyclist died in a road accident near Shamkot village, Kanganpur. Muhammad Aslam, 50, was travelling on a motorcycle when a speeding truck hit him, leaving him dead on the spot.

LAHORE:Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid Wednesday said that one million doses of corona vaccine will be procured after the approval of the cabinet in near future in the first phase. Chairing a meeting at the Civil Secretariat to review status of vaccine procurement and preparation, the health minister said that local preparation of vaccine would be possible between 6 and 10 months.
Dr Yasmin reviewed progress for the procurement of the vaccine and said that a Technical Advisory Group had been constituted under Special Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare department Babar Aman for the procurement of the vaccine. Technical Advisory Group would share its recommendations within two days for the procurement of the vaccine , she added. She informed that consultation with stakeholders was underway, including professors from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS).
