Telco on the hunt for office joker in ‘2degrees Great
NZ Office Comedy Clash’
2degrees has teamed up with
the country’s largest improvised comedy theatre company
– Covert Theatre – to find New Zealand’s funniest
office as part of a new sponsorship deal.
Over the
next two weeks, workplace teams across Auckland will be
encouraged to rally their co-workers – the quick-witted,
pun-loving, clowns and comeback queens – to sign-up for a
chance to take part in the ultimate comedy
clash.
Participating teams will receive four 90-minute
coaching sessions from experienced teachers and seasoned
performers at their place of work, before going head-to-head
Alive and kicking: the Mischief Theatre troupe have returned to bring improv to Zoom

Mischief Theatre are the young(ish) upstarts responsible for the …Goes Wrong brand of mishap-beset buffoonery. A year ago, it looked like things could only go right for this talented West End-conquering contingent: their long-running The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery appeared unassailable, while their new hit Magic Goes Wrong seemed set to run and run as well. Oh, and the BBC had commissioned a second batch of their instantly popular spin-off series, The Goes Wrong Show.
British improv group The Noise Next Door will be trying to get audiences in splits as they bring their style of comedy similar to hit show ‘Whose Line is it?’ to Dubai over two nights.
Like in the improvisational comedy television show, the quartet will get suggestions from the audience and turn them into comedic scenes and songs at the drop of a hat.
The group made up of Matt Grant, Tom Livingstone, Sam Pacelli and Robin Hatcher appeared on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2020 to showcase their unique brand of humour and got a roaring reaction.
They have sold out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 11 times and have appeared on numerous TV shows in the UK.
